DENTAL FORENSICS: THE PAST, THE PRESENT, THE FUTURE

A Continuing Dental Education Workshop for 3 CEUs*
Course Synopsis:
Using case studies, Dr Kate Crowley, board Certified and Massachusetts State Forensic Odontologist, will deliver a dynamic lecture on the history of forensic dentistry, current techniques in dental identification, and the future use of familial DNA for identification. Dr Crowley will present the important role the forensic dentist has when working as a team member for the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in solving missing persons and identification of victims of major crimes, natural disasters and terrorism.
About Our Speaker:
Dr. Crowley received her Doctorate of Medicine in Dentistry and her Post Doctorate Certificate for Periodontology from Boston University School of Dental Medicine. She is Board Certified by The American Board of Forensic Odontology. Dr. Crowley is a Massachusetts State Forensic Dentist and is a member of the Disaster Mortuary Operational Response Team (DMORT).
She is a volunteer for the Masonic Child Identification Program (CHIP)
and a member of the Mayflower Dental Study Group.
